Are you sure that herring and meat are not combined in food? I thought so too, until I tried the Spicy salad "Brine" with beef potatoes and herring. Latvians are able to surprise by combining the incompatible. And since I also really like to surprise and delight, of course I have added this culinary recipe to my collection.
First of all, we need to boil the beef, cool it and cut it. We will cut all the ingredients in the salad into small, even cubes. Potatoes need to be taken large, we cook it in a uniform, and when it cools down, we clean and also cut. Choose a medium apple, it is better if it is sour, remove the peel and slice. Pickled cucumbers will also need medium-sized ones. We also grind them. Now all this needs to be mixed, seasoned with a mixture of sour cream and mustard and put in a salad bowl. Sprinkle the salad with crumbled eggs. And cut the herring fillet into thin slices and spread it on top of the eggs. Decorate the salad with slices of apples and herbs and serve to the table. I think the guests will be surprised, but they will certainly ask you for a culinary recipe for this dish.
