Take a pot of water and put onions, carrots and celery in it. Bring to a boil and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
Next, add the roasted chestnuts to the pan and cook for another 20-25 minutes, until the chestnuts become soft. Now remove the pan from the stove.
Boiled vegetables need to be fished out of the broth, we won't need them anymore. Or it is best to strain the broth through a fine sieve. 4 chestnuts, put aside for now, and return the rest to the broth. This broth together with chestnuts should be whipped in a blender until we get a homogeneous puree.
Then, put this puree in a saucepan and heat it up.
Fry pieces of bread in a frying pan. The bread needs to be constantly stirred so that it becomes golden.
Those chestnuts that we have put aside, we will cut into small pieces, they are needed for serving the dish.
Fill the soup plates and put chestnuts and cubes of fried bread in each. Chestnut soup is ready. Enjoy your meal.
