Pea puree soup with chicken

Mashed soup is a delicious find for a family dinner! This was my first experience of making mashed soup and testing a new blender. The soup came out really tasty, fragrant and rich (for some reason it reminded my husband about kindergarten). For its preparation, I took the peas in halves - it does not require soaking and quickly boiled.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 hours
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Let's start cooking soup with the preparation of the necessary products. Onions, carrots and potatoes are peeled and thoroughly washed.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the peas and put them in a saucepan together with the chicken breast and salt. Pour water and put it on medium heat.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

    Meanwhile, chop the onion finely.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

    Grate carrots.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

After the soup boils, reduce the heat and remove the foam from the surface of the soup. Add carrots and onions to the pan. Cook the soup until the peas are ready. It took me 40 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

    Cut the potatoes into cubes.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

We take out the ready-made chicken breast from the soup, and instead we put sliced potatoes and ground black pepper. Cook the soup until the potatoes are ready. Remove the pan from the heat and cool the soup.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

When the temperature of the soup becomes about 40 degrees (this is an acceptable temperature for working with a blender), whisk the soup into a puree. To do this, use the blender nozzle with a small knife. The consistency of the soup-puree should be thick enough so that the pieces of meat placed on top do not fall into the soup, but be more liquid than porridge.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Cut the cooled chicken breast into pieces.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

We form crackers from a piece of bread, frying them in sunflower oil until golden brown.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Now it remains only to warm up the cooled soup-puree and pour it on plates. In each plate you need to put pieces of meat. When serving, the soup is served together with crackers. Bon appetit!
