Fried mackerel

Fried fish with a golden crust and soft, juicy fillet! Fried mackerel turns out to be as delicious as baked and smoked, but it has its advantages inherent in this method of cooking, for example, cooking fried mackerel faster than smoking it. It is better to fry without covering with a lid, so that the fish does not fall apart in the end.

1. Prepare the marinade, to do this, squeeze the juice from the lemon, peel the garlic, pass it through the press, combine with lemon juice. We put juniper berries in a mortar, pour pepper peas and cumin seeds here, rub everything thoroughly with a pestle, then add to the lemon-garlic mixture, mix.

2. Cut the fish into pieces, salt, leave for half an hour. Then generously rub each piece with the prepared marinade and leave for another hour.

3. Pour the flour into a flat plate, breading each piece in it from all sides, fry in well-heated sunflower oil until a beautiful golden brown.

Serve hot on the table, optionally garnished with herbs.
