Toast with egg and sugar

Great breakfast! If you have a dried-up yesterday's or even the day before yesterday's loaf and you don't know what to do with it, then this toast recipe is just for you. Such croutons with sugar have always been and, it seems to me, will always be very popular in many families. They are perfect for a Sunday family breakfast. You can also cook them as a snack for an afternoon snack or take them with you to nature. Considering that they turn out sweet, they are very popular with children. The dish is very simple and its budget just cannot but please. This is one of those recipes that come with us from childhood. What our mothers and grandmothers cooked for us. And what we are now preparing for our children. And, most likely, our children will also cook them with pleasure. And the simplicity of this recipe makes it possible to cook it together with children. Children always like to help their parents in the kitchen. And this recipe, it seems to me, may well become the first children's culinary masterpiece.

We will use yesterday's loaf to prepare these delicious croutons. It should be slightly dried, so the finished croutons will keep their shape perfectly.
So, cut the loaf into pieces about 1-1.5 centimeters thick. Pour the milk separately into a deep bowl. Add two eggs to the milk and mix everything well. It is most convenient to do this with a whisk.
Pour a little vegetable oil into a hot frying pan.
Dip each piece of the loaf in the egg-milk mixture and put it in a hot frying pan. Fry for a couple of minutes. Then turn it over with a spatula. And fry on the other side for another 2-3 minutes. Croutons should be covered with a ruddy, appetizing crust on both sides.
Place a paper towel or napkins on a plate. Lay out the ready-made croutons. This is necessary in order to drain excess fat from the toast.
While the croutons are hot, sprinkle them over the entire surface with sugar or powdered sugar.
Delicious, ruddy and fragrant croutons are ready!
In addition to these croutons, you can also pour them with condensed milk or additionally serve with jam, jam or berry sauce.
It is very tasty to use them with tea, compote, milk or juice.
Bon appetit!
