It's hard to imagine how it is possible to eat something that is called a culinary product and that is prepared from ... cereals. Nevertheless, there is such a culinary recipe in Korean cuisine, and now I will definitely tell you how this kind of food is prepared!
Take the corn groats and soak them in water, leaving for 5-6 hours. When it is moistened enough, we will turn it through a meat grinder. It is quite possible that the flour may turn out to be too wet. It doesn't matter – we'll take it and dry it.
And now the important procedure is kneading the dough itself. So, adding hot water to the flour, steam our dough in a steamer. Then, before this mass cools down, we will mash it thoroughly, add soda and vinegar to it, which need to be diluted in a small amount of water.
So, the dough is ready, and we roll it out in a thin - no more than 2 mm – layer, then cut into plates of 5x6 cm in size. By the way, tortillas can be cut into a variety of shapes. Let's dry them, turning them over often. And after about a short time, as soon as the tortillas dry out, fry them in oil. Do not forget that they need to be pressed down a little with a spoon, in order to avoid swelling.
But the tortillas are ready! Smear them with molasses, or the same honey. And then sprinkle abundantly with sesame seeds, or poppy seeds. Bon appetit!
