Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make meatballs with vegetables in a frying pan? First of all, prepare all the necessary products. In the recipe, I used an assortment of frozen vegetables, but you can cook the dish with fresh vegetables collected in the garden or bought in the store. Minced meat is suitable for chicken, meat or mixed from several types of meat. Tomato sauce can be replaced with tomato juice or ketchup.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Peel and rinse the onion. Cut half of the onion as finely as possible and send it to the stuffing. Add salt to taste, add your favorite dry spices and mix everything thoroughly. Leave the minced meat to infuse for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Form minced meat balls of small size.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan. Send the meatballs to fry. Cook until a delicious crust appears on the balls.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan. Chop the second half of the onion and lightly fry. Send the rest of the vegetables to the onion. Stir and cook for about 5-10 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour tomato sauce and half a cup of boiling water to the vegetables, add salt to taste and mix everything. Send the meat balls to the vegetables. Gently mix so that the meatballs are immersed in the fragrant sauce. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce the flame of the stove to slightly below average. Leave the meatballs with vegetables to stew until all the ingredients are ready. It took me about 20-25 minutes (depends on the size of the vegetables and meatballs).

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Sprinkle the finished dish with pre-chopped herbs. It can be dill, parsley or green onions. Pepper as desired.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Serve hot as an independent dish or in addition to boiled cereals, crushed potatoes or pasta.

Bon appetit!

If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.

Any oils are useful only until a certain temperature is reached - the point of smoking, at which the oil begins to burn and toxic substances, including carcinogens, are formed in it. Important! An incorrectly selected frying pan can ruin even the best recipe. All the details on how to choose the perfect frying pan for different dishes read here .
