Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 3 hours
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to bake a rabbit in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for this. Chop the rabbit carcass into pieces. Peel potatoes and carrots and rinse them in running water from dirt.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash the rabbit pieces in running water. then dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a spacious bowl, mix sour cream and adjika. Add a little salt and spices to it. As a spice, I use hops-suneli and ground black pepper. Mix everything together and coat the rabbit meat with the resulting mass. Leave to lie down for an hour so that the meat is marinated.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

In another bowl, cut the potatoes into large pieces and add carrots to it, cut into circles. Pour a small amount of vegetable oil. Add a little salt and spices to your liking. Mix it up.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Prepare the baking sleeve. Tie it on one side. Put the potatoes and carrots in it.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Then add the rabbit pieces along with the marinade. Tie the sleeve on the other side. From above, make 2-4 punctures with a knife so that excess steam can escape. Put the baking sleeve with all the contents on a baking sheet or baking dish and put it in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 1.5 hours. Be guided by your oven. 15-20 minutes before the end of cooking, cut the sleeve and let the dish brown a little.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Baked rabbit with potatoes is ready! Arrange the dish in prepared plates and serve to the table. Bon appetit!

To make the taste of the finished dish balanced and the meat juicy - I recommend using an oven and a baking sleeve. This is the only way all the ingredients will be saturated with the taste and aroma of each other.

Keep in mind that the final result in this dish also depends on how you chop the carrots: grated carrots will turn into mush during heat treatment and mix evenly with the rest of the ingredients, cut into strips or cubes will retain their shape.

If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
