Quick Jam pie

You can cook a fragrant moist cake for tea in 30 minutes. If you still have a jar of last year's jam, do not rush to get rid of it - after all, this is a great base for this pie. It will take you only 5 minutes to prepare, and you will probably have all the other components - you just need to mix everything well, the rest is up to the oven. We serve it with tea or with a mug of warm milk - just delicious

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Here are all the ingredients that are required for this dish. Surely they are in your refrigerator right now, so you just need to cook it today. Any jam will do for ours - in my opinion, if there are pieces of fruit in it, it will be even more interesting. Today I took some cherry and raspberry jam

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

First of all, turn on the oven to warm up and prepare the baking dish, because we will cook the dough for no more than 5 minutes. Now we are preparing liquid ingredients - jam, vegetable oil, sour cream and milk. If you don't have sour cream right now, don't worry, just add a little more milk. Instead of milk, you can take kefir, whey, or even just water, if you want, for example, a lean pie

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mix all the ingredients well together

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Now we add dry ingredients - we must sift the flour, so we will enrich it with oxygen and the baking will be more airy

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

At the end, add soda and vanilla sugar (or vanillin) to the flour and also sift. Usually I prefer to use vanilla sugar, but sometimes I replace it with vanillin

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

We mix everything well and quickly, after we add soda, the mass will begin to bubble strongly, so it is very desirable to send it to the oven to bake faster while the reaction is going on

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put the dough into a baking dish. If necessary, lubricate it with vegetable oil or put baking paper on the bottom. I have a form with a non-stick coating, so I do not lubricate it. Put in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Attention! It is important that the jam is thick, otherwise you may have porridge, not pie. Everyone has different ovens, check the readiness of the pie, the temperature and the cooking time.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

The pie is baked quite quickly and turns out to be very lush and fragrant. We check the readiness with a wooden stick or an ordinary toothpick - it should be dry

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Decorate according to your taste and discretion - berries, fruits or just powdered sugar. You can also cut it into 2 cakes and smear it with sour cream (sour cream + sugar) - you will get a real cake

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

    Have a nice tea party!
