Puff pastry with poppy seeds

Bake a fragrant roll without any hassle - very simple! For such a poppy roll, I buy the dough in the store, and sometimes I use my homemade, prepared for the future. In general, it takes literally 10 minutes to cook, everything else is time for soaking the poppy, well, for baking. The roll turns out just wow!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 45 min

Pour the poppy into a small bowl, pour boiling water and leave for half an hour (to make the process go faster, you can send the mass to a weak fire and simmer for about 15 minutes).

Then drain the water and crush the poppy with a wooden pusher, add liquid honey. Mix the mass, put the walnuts, after chopping them with a knife. Once again, mix everything thoroughly.

Dust the work surface with flour, roll out the puff pastry into a large rectangle, spread the filling, level it on the surface. We fold the layer with the filling into a roll.

We line the baking sheet with parchment, transfer the roll onto it and give it the shape of a large bagel. We connect the edges, make shallow incisions along the outer circle.

Break the egg into a bowl, shake with a fork, lubricate the roll with a silicone brush.

We send the baking sheet to a preheated oven to 200 degrees and bake until an appetizing golden crust appears.

Let the roll cool and serve.
