For the recipe, you will need simple products from the category "always at hand". When choosing potatoes, give preference to crumbly varieties of instant cooking.Choose sour cream with a fat content of 21 percent. Chicken fillet in the recipe can be replaced with turkey fillet. The quantity and composition of spices are allowed to vary according to your taste.
Wash potatoes in running water, peel, cut out the eyes. Using a special grater, cut the vegetable into thin slices up to 2 mm. Put the prepared slices in a bowl, rinse in water from excess starch. Drain the water.
Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings. Sprinkle a little vinegar if desired.
Clean the chicken fillet from fat and films, rinse and dry in a paper towel. Cut into small slices 5 mm thick.
Peel the garlic, pass it through the press. Mix sour cream with garlic.
Grate cheese.
Grease the baking bowl with vegetable oil. Lay out the potato slices overlapping in one layer. Add salt, pepper, and sprinkle with spices. Lubricate the layer with sour cream sauce.
Spread out the prepared fillet. Lubricate with adjika. Sprinkle with prepared onions.
Repeat the layers until the components are finished.
Pour out the remaining sour cream sauce and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.
Bake in the oven 200-210 degrees until golden brown for 50-60 minutes.
Check for readiness with a fork. Potato slices should be soft and easy to pierce.
The casserole can be served in the form in which it was baked. You can complement the dish with a salad of fresh vegetables and white bread.
The dish has a bright rich meat taste with the aroma of spices and herbs. It is quite satisfying, but not heavy. It is advisable not to cook the casserole for the future. When it cools down, it loses its taste qualities, and the tender cheese freezes.
The dish will surely please your loved ones, especially the male part. You can diversify the taste of the casserole by adding fresh tomatoes instead of adjika.
