Chicken fillet in puff pastry

To have a snack on the road or at work, cook chicken in puff pastry. Tender, spicy and hearty chicken pies in puff pastry. When things are planned for a whole day or even two, I often cook them - they take up little space, they are very satisfying - a great snack! And the evening of pies with different fillings also often does not pass without them - the family really like it!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 9 h 30 min

Fillet is washed, if necessary, cut into nine strips. You can beat them off a little.

Mix mayonnaise, mustard and spices. We smear the meat well with the resulting marinade, put it tightly in a bowl and leave it to marinate for several hours. I do this at night, after which in the morning baking takes about half an hour.

Before baking, cut the cheese into nine cubes.

Roll out the dough into a thin square layer with a side length of about 36 cm. Cut the dough into nine squares.

Chicken fillet and cheese are spread on squares of dough and rolled up with a tube. We make several longitudinal notches on the tubes with a knife.

Beat the egg yolk with water and lubricate each tube with this.

Cover the baking sheet with parchment, lay out the tubes with meat and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven until ready (about 30 minutes).

The tubes are ready. They are delicious to eat both hot and cold.
