Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 hours

1. We cut the cooled butter into cubes, we also cut the lard. We put the cubes of butter and lard in a bowl in which we will knead the dough.

2. Here we sift the flour, add a pinch of vanilla and salt, rub the ingredients into crumbs with quick movements of the hands.

3. Pour milk into a separate container, add sour cream and egg yolks, mix with a whisk until smooth.

4. Pour the resulting mass into a bowl with flour crumbs, knead the dough. The dough turns out not cool, it sticks to your hands, but nevertheless you should not add flour. We send the dough to the refrigerator for one hour.

5. Then we take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide it into 6 parts. Each piece is rolled into a circle, then cut into 12 sectors from the center to the edge. While we are working with one piece, we keep the rest in the refrigerator.

6. Spread a little jam on the wide edge of each sector and wrap it in a tight roll. Thus, we collect all the blanks.

7. We spread the bagels on a baking sheet not tightly to each other, but with a distance of at least 1 cm, we send them to the oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for 40 minutes until a light golden blush.

8. Put the finished bagels in a bowl and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar, then spread on a serving dish and serve on the table.
