Snow Cockerel Cake

Prepare a beautiful and original cake for the festive table! I propose to decorate the New Year's table with an original-looking cake in the form of a Rooster - the symbol of 2017. It will not be difficult to make it out, rather, on the contrary, it will bring pleasure and pleasant emotions. Especially the process will please little confectioners. If you haven't found almond petals, you can always replace them with coconut chips ;)

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 4 h 50 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Cakes are baked in advance in the form of a small size. Or we take ready-made ones and cut them to the required diameter. We prepare the cream: mix powdered sugar with vanilla, add soft butter to the mixture, pour milk at room temperature. Beat the future cream until smooth at the lowest speed of the mixer. With the resulting butter cream, we smear the cakes inside. We stack the cakes on top of each other, stick a skewer for strength - cut off the excess.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cream thickly cover the entire surface of the cake from the outside. Sprinkle the cake with almond petals.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Roll out the mastic. We cut out the future scallop from the red layer with a flower-shaped mold, cut the workpiece in half and connect it with water - we put two toothpicks between the two layers of the scallop. The scallop is ready. In the form of a flower of a smaller size, we cut out the beard of a cockerel.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

From orange mastic we form a beak. We fasten it with water. We collect a beak and a beard for a toothpick.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Install the scallop on top of the cake.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Raisins (or coffee beans) will be the eyes of a cockerel. We attach a beard with a beak. The cake is decorated! We put it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, after which the cake in the form of a symbol of the coming year can be served to the table.
