How to bake muffins? First, in a separate bowl, mix the flour with baking powder, add sugar and salt. Turn on the oven so that it heats up to 200 degrees. And prepare the mold (or molds) for muffins by greasing it with fat or oil.
In another bowl, whisk an egg with a whisk or fork, add milk, vanilla essence and melted butter or margarine. Add flour mass to the resulting mixture. Now quickly knead the dough (while the mass will be lumpy). Note that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe, focus on the consistency of the dough. The dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream.
Put the dough in a muffin pan and put it in the oven.
Bake for about twenty or twenty-five minutes. The time and baking mode should always be selected for your technique  Focus on your oven.
Remove from the oven and serve warm. Although muffins can be eaten cold too.

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
