Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min

First you need to knead the dough. To do this, sift the flour, add baking powder, salt and vanilla to it, and then carefully grind the resulting mixture with butter. The latter must be taken out of the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes softer, or grated.

The next step will be adding kefir to the resulting mixture, after which the contents of the bowl must be mixed and a soft and elastic dough kneaded. Sometimes it is necessary to add a little more flour to the dough. Be guided by the fact that it should not stick to your hands.

Roll out the dough into a pancake about 3 mm thick. Then cut it into strips of 20 x 8 cm and put a cherry in each. The filling should be distributed along the entire length of the strip and sprinkle the berries with sugar on top. Pinch the dough so that as a result you get long sausages with stuffing inside, which must be laid in a spiral in a baking dish.

Bake the pie in the oven at 200 degrees until golden brown. Cool the finished cake a little, sprinkle with powdered sugar, decorate with fresh berries and you can serve it to the table. It is delicious both hot and cold.
