Cake with prunes with sour cream and nuts

Cake for special occasions is extremely delicious and original! I want to share a culinary recipe for a festive cake with prunes. I cook this cake in most cases for the New Year and Christmas holidays. You can choose a different shape for the cake, both in the form of a Christmas tree and in the form of a heart, or you can just classic. And add the remaining crumbs from the cakes to the cream. Of course, it will take a lot of effort and time to prepare food, but the result is worth it. The cake turns out very tasty, try it and you will not be disappointed.

Preparing the dough. Grind the egg yolks with sugar and add to the softened butter. Then add sour cream, salt and flour mixed with baking powder. If there is no baking powder, then you can use 0.5 teaspoons of soda. Knead the dough and bake the cakes on a greased baking sheet. It should turn out somewhere 3 cakes.

For the cream, it is necessary to grind prunes in a meat grinder. Softened butter is whipped with ½ cup powdered sugar and mixed with sour cream, whipped with ½ cup powdered sugar. Add this mixture to the chopped prunes and pour the chopped walnuts there. Mix everything well.
We smear the finished cakes with cream.

The top and sides of the cake are coated with egg white whipped with ½ cup powdered sugar. On top of the cake, you can decorate with grated chocolate and walnut kernels. The finished cake is sent to the refrigerator for impregnation for at least 5 hours, and even better for the night.
Bon appetit!
