How to make minced meat cutlets for a couple in a slow cooker?

For cooking cutlets, you can take ready-made minced meat, or you can make it yourself. If the minced meat or meat has been frozen, do not forget to get it a few hours before the start of the cooking process.

Peel the onion and garlic, wash, dry and chop in a convenient way. If you want the vegetables to be palpable in the finished version of the dish, finely chop them with a knife. In the case when it is necessary to get only the taste, without visible cubes or strips of onion, grate it on a grater or grind it with a blender together with garlic. Add the vegetables to the minced meat. Wash the carrots, peel and grate them on a fine grater, and then transfer them to the minced meat.

Wash the greens. It can be just dill or parsley, cilantro or a mix. Dry with a paper napkin, and then finely chop, add to the minced meat and mix everything thoroughly.

Cut a loaf or the remains of white bread into small pieces and soak in milk in a deep dish. You can replace milk with water, but this can negatively affect the taste, so it is not recommended. When the loaf has absorbed all the liquid, mash it into crumbs and add to the mixture of minced meat and vegetables. The remaining liquid can be poured in the same place, it will give softness. Add salt, mix all the ingredients until smooth.

We will cook the cutlets for a couple in a slow cooker, so pour two glasses of water on the bottom of the bowl and install a steamer grid. Moisten your hands in water so that the minced meat does not stick and the cutlets turn out to be neat, regular shape. Form the cutlets and lay them tightly on the grid. Turn on the steaming mode and cook the cutlets for 20 minutes. You can check the readiness by piercing them with a sharp knife, if the middle is already ready, the juice will be transparent.

Serve the cutlets hot. They are perfectly combined with any kind of side dishes (potatoes, pasta, cereals, vegetables). Taking round buns and sauce, you can use cutlets to make delicious and healthy homemade burgers.

Bon appetit!

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.

Keep in mind that the quality and taste of the finished dish largely depends on the proper defrosting of the ingredients. How to avoid mistakes and choose the best way, read the article about defrosting.

So that the mucous membrane of the eyes is not irritated when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
