Corn porridge in a slow cooker on water

The perfect dish for fasting and for healthy eating. Corn porridge cleanses the body perfectly, it is rich in useful vitamins and trace elements, and if it is cooked on water and without oil, then you can even eat during lent. I'm used to cooking corn porridge in a slow cooker - there it turns out to be the most delicious. Try it, it will take only 5 minutes, the rest of the time is the work of the slow cooker.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 25 min

We wash the cereal, removing all the litter. We put the clean cereal into the bowl of the slow cooker, pour in water, add salt. Close the lid.

Select the "Porridge" program (in some models this program is designated as "Cereal"), set the cooking time to 20 minutes.

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook first the dishes you know, and then the new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.

After waiting for the sound signal, we spread the porridge on serving plates and serve it on the table while it it hasn't cooled down.

Bon appetit and be healthy!
