Cooking method

Cooking time: 20 min

The preparation of this delicious and healthy dish takes literally no more than 20 minutes. Like any other fish, cod is cooked very quickly. At the same time, it has excellent taste qualities, and steamed it will also bring great benefits to the body. Steamed fish can be included in the diet of young children, but in this case it is better to do without aromatic additives. Such as pepper, orange peel and fresh ginger, and it is better to add a minimum amount of salt. When cooking, adult eaters, on the contrary, can experiment with various spices and other additions, as well as sauces.

This recipe is an absolutely harmonious combination of different flavors. It's worth a try! So, let's start cooking...

The ginger root is washed and cleaned, and then we chop it with a thin straw lengthwise. Orange peel is also very thinly cut into strips. The zest should be without a white layer, otherwise there will be bitterness in the finished fish, which not everyone may like. It is best to remove the zest from the orange immediately before cooking the cod.

My fillet and lightly blot the moisture with a paper towel. After that, we cut the fish into small pieces and transfer the fish to a suitable container. Pour the cod fillet with olive oil, just a little bit, you don't need much. Sprinkle with ground pink pepper on top (you can grind it yourself or replace it with freshly ground black). There is no need to salt the fish, as the sauce will be salty! But if you decide to do without sauce, then you should add salt to the fillet right at this stage.

Rub the cod fillet with pepper, salt and olive oil. Pour several glasses of water into the slow cooker, install a steam grate. We put the prepared cod fillet on the grill. By the way, in the water that is poured into the bowl, you can also add aromatic additives, for example, fresh herbs. Spread ginger and orange straws on the fillet, distribute evenly. Close the lid of the slow cooker.

We set the "Steam" mode ("Steam"), the time is 8 minutes. While the fish is cooking, we will make the sauce by simply mixing all the liquid ingredients in a small bowl.

We serve cod with a lot of greens, watering with sauce.

Bon appetit!
