Homemade limoncello on vodka

Famous Italian liqueur made at home? Yes, it's real! Very tasty, rich, strong and fragrant! And cooking is not so difficult. The minimum effort is just patience and do not forget to shake the container with tincture every day so that the future liquor is even tastier.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 21 d 30 min

1. Start by washing the lemons thoroughly. The water for this should be warm, you can even rub the lemons slightly with the back of a clean sponge for washing dishes.
2. Remove the zest from the prepared lemons, cutting off only the thin yellow part. I use a special grater.
3. Transfer the zest into a glass container, pour in the vodka, then close the lid tightly.
4. Put in a darkened place, insist at room temperature for two weeks.
5. Shake the container well every day, stirring its contents.
6. Preparing the syrup: heat the water, add sugar and, stirring, bring the mixture to a boil, then cook for a few minutes. The sugar should completely dissolve. Cool the syrup completely.
7. Strain the infused vodka through a fine sieve.
8. Mix both liquids, bottle them, seal them tightly, put them in a dark and cool place for a week.
