Shokomastika for decorating cakes

Shokomastika is easy to prepare, it's nice to work with it. I've done this mastic only once so far, I didn't expect it to work out the first time. The main thing is to follow the recipe and everything will go like clockwork. Perfect for wrapping cakes, weaving baskets, as in the photo)

Cooking method

Cooking time: 9 h

Powdered sugar must be sifted and poured into a container where we will knead our mastic. We need to dissolve the marshmallows separately and melt the chocolate. At first I put a container with chocolate + 1h.l of water + 1h on the water bath.a spoonful of butter. When the chocolate starts to melt, stir, remove, turn on the microwave with marshmallows for 40 seconds (add 2 teaspoons of water to the bottom so that it does not stick)We look when it swells, turn it off. If the chocolate has not completely dissolved and there are pieces, we send it to the bath again. We unload our marshmallows and then chocolate into the prepared mixing container. Kneading with your hands is a very long and nerve-wracking business, so I took a mixer and nozzles, wavy, for kneading the dough for a long time without thinking, and go ahead until smooth. No matter how much we would like, but we don't add any more powder. We collect our creation in food wrap, wrap it tightly and put it in the refrigerator for 8 hours, I left it overnight.
Don't be scared when you get a hard cobblestone in the morning)), let it lie down a little and turn into an obedient plasticine lump in your warm, persistent hands)) Sprinkle the work surface with starch and go ahead.
In the photo, the basket is woven from this mastic, only I took a double portion for 200 grams of chocolate (I didn't save on chocolate, I was afraid))) since I was making a cake for my mother on the DR in the village, if there were no new products anywhere, I had to do everything right on the first attempt)).
We weave a basket, we can say like for real, first we make vertical flagella, a little higher than your cake with an interval of 2-3 cm. We make long horizontal flagella, we can make strips, as it is convenient for anyone, and we weave once on top, once under the bottom.
In order for our basket to shine, we dilute honey and vodka in equal proportions and smear.
But I wanted to experiment with color, so I made a trio of honey + vodka + brown dye and that's what I got.
Ideally, this basket should contain a pen, but I decided not to spoil the drawing, since I didn't get it, but nothing, I think if I ever get the opportunity to repeat the composition, I will try to do everything right!)))
