1. Pour the water into a saucepan. We send it to the fire, bring it to a boil.

2. I wash the melon under running water. Then we cut it in half, clean out all the seeds, cut off the skin.

3. Cut the prepared melon pulp into cubes. The cubes are about 2 by 2 centimeters in size.

4. Put the melon in boiling water, cook for 2-3 minutes. Then pour the sugar, let the crystals completely dissolve.

5. From the moment of adding sugar, we cook the compote for 15 minutes. At the end, add lemon juice.

6. Pour the compote into pre-prepared jars. Roll up. Turn the blanks upside down, cover with a warm blanket.

7. We leave the cans in this position for a day, after which we transfer them to a permanent storage place. A cellar or basement will do.
