Balish with dried apricots

Delicious sunny pie for your family! I propose to cook a wonderful open pie under an exotic name - balish. Balish is a national dish of Tatar cuisine, which is rich in wonderful pastries. I like to experiment with fillings, today's pie with the most interesting filling: millet, pumpkin, dried apricots and raisins is a wonderful flavor combination!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h

1. Break the egg into a bowl, pour sugar and salt, mix with a whisk. Pour milk and pre-melted butter into the resulting mass, then sift the flour and knead the uncool dough.

2. The millet is washed a couple of times, boiled until half-cooked in slightly salted water. Wash the pumpkin, peel it, remove the seeds. Cut the prepared piece of pumpkin into small cubes, put them in millet. Pour sugar and salt into the filling, add softened butter, diced dried apricots and raisins (pre-soak dried fruits for 10 minutes in hot water), mix the filling.

3. We distribute the dough in a greased form with vegetable oil. We pierce the entire base with a fork, spread the filling. The edges are decorated according to your taste and imagination, and the surface is decorated with dried apricots (I laid out dried apricot flowers). Bake in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 40 minutes.

We serve it on the table in a warm form.

Have a sweet tea party!
