Peaches have always been my favorite treat. I consume any food and any drinks made from peaches or with their addition. My husband, knowing this passion of mine, decided to surprise me and in my absence prepared a small surprise, namely a compote of peaches. The compote turned out to be very sweet and delicious. At my request, my husband taught me how to cook this delicacy, and now I will teach you, especially since the culinary recipe for this drink is very simple. So, we choose peaches for canning. For this purpose, fruits with yellow flesh and dark pits that separate effortlessly are suitable. When the peaches are selected, we wash them, put them in a colander and lower them into boiling water with a small amount of citric acid for a couple of minutes. After that, we cool the fruits very quickly in cold water and remove the skin from them. Now we divide the peaches into halves, take out the bones. After that, we put the peach slices in pre-prepared jars and pour sugar syrup over the shoulders. The syrup is prepared very simply: in 1 liter of water over low heat, we dissolve 500 grams of sugar. Now the jars are hermetically sealed and pasteurized for 15-20 minutes. After this time, we put the jars in a warm place until they cool down. After a couple of days, you can drink peach compote!
