Pour into the pan water, and while it is heating up, we prepare the ingredients. Chop the cabbage, cut the beets into identical strips, cut the carrots into small cubes and finely chop the onion. It is also necessary to cut the meat or liver into pieces.
When the water starts to boil, put the cabbage in the pan, and then the meat. After removing the foam, make the fire smaller.
Fry the beets lightly in a frying pan, then add the carrots and fry until tender. Add half of the beans to the vegetables, tomato paste and fry a little more. In the ready boiling broth, we lower the chopped potatoes, spices, basil, bay leaf, pepper, salt. We also send the remaining beans, fried from the frying pan and onions, fried separately in oil. We leave the borscht to cook on low heat. When the borscht is ready, squeeze the garlic into it, mix and cover with a lid.
Now we prepare dumplings: mix flour with water, melted butter, eggs and salt. We make a not very steep, smooth dough, which we then roll out to a thickness of 0.5 cm and cut into pieces of various shapes. Dumplings are cooked in boiling salted water for 10 minutes. Then we take them out, let the water drain and fry them lightly in oil.
Borscht is served with sour cream and herbs. Bon appetit!
