Simple apple jam for winter

Very tasty apple jam goes especially well with tea! If you have a garden at your dacha, then you have probably encountered an overabundance of apples. The best preparation of apples for the winter is, of course, jam. Apple jam is not only sweet, but also a very healthy food, it contains a lot of fiber, which is necessary for our body especially in winter.

I wash the apples, remove the skin (although you can leave it), remove the seeds together with the seed pods, cut into thin slices.
Before that, prepare a syrup of 1 kg. sugar and a glass of water (when the syrup boils, the foam is necessarily removed).
Apple slices are lowered into the syrup, which boils, then turn off the fire and leave for 6 hours. Next, we cook in three or four steps until ready. The first time we boil the jam 20-30 minutes. and leave for 6-10 hours, then repeat the procedure until the jam reaches the required density. At the end of the last cooking, add citric acid, remove from heat and, hot, put in jars.
After complete cooling – close with pre-steamed plastic lids and take out for storage (cellar or refrigerator).
I hope this cooking recipe will help you diversify your winter sweet table.
