Since in this recipe the pumpkin is cooked in a microwave oven, then you need to choose it based on the size of a particular household appliance. But in any case, a large fruit will not fit in the microwave, and the time for its preparation will be too long, which is impractical. Therefore, it is best to choose a pumpkin of small size and compact shape weighing no more than 0.5 kg.

In this particular recipe, consider the preparation of buckwheat porridge baked in pumpkin. However, following the detailed instructions below, you can cook any other porridge at will.

Wash the buckwheat several times with running water and put it in a saucepan. Fill the cereal with clean water and put the pan on the fire. Boil the buckwheat over low heat until half cooked.

A small pumpkin will be thoroughly washed with water and dried with paper towels. Next, we cut off the top of the pumpkin with a tail and leave it as a lid for our improvised pumpkin pot. Scrape out the entire inner pulp of the fruit with a spoon or knife along with the seeds, making our pumpkin hollow inside. We wash its inner part and dry it with paper towels or thick napkins.

Add honey, ground cinnamon and a little nutmeg to the boiled buckwheat porridge in a saucepan. Walnuts are washed with hot water, dried and also put in buckwheat. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients together.

We shift the buckwheat porridge inside the pumpkin and put a piece of butter in the middle so that the pumpkin is more juicy and fragrant. Then cover the pumpkin with the cut top - like a pot lid.

Place the pumpkin on a large plate and put it in the microwave. We set the maximum power of the device and set the timer for 25-30 minutes.

After the specified time, we take the baked pumpkin out of the microwave and determine the degree of its readiness. If the fruit is soft and juicy, then the dish is ready and you can serve it on the table. If not, we prepare it, exposing it for another 3-4 minutes (if necessary, do it 2-3 times).

Bon appetit!
