Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Boil vegetables and eggs, cool, peel. Rub the vegetables on a coarse grater. Divide the eggs into whites and yolks. And rub separately on a fine grater.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Put lettuce leaves in a large flat plate as a base and decoration for the salad. Put the grated potatoes in the first layer, giving it the shape of a star. This will take most of the cooked potatoes, a smaller part should be left for the next layer.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Open the jar with saury, put 2/3 of the jar without juice in a separate bowl and mash with a fork. Put the fish on a layer of potatoes, keeping the shape of a star.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the remaining potatoes in the next layer. And although there is quite a bit of it for the layer, it is quite enough to partially cover the fish and pour it all over with three teaspoons of juice from the fish from the jar. You will need less mayonnaise.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Next layer of carrots. This layer should be lubricated with a small amount of mayonnaise. It's a matter of taste here, someone likes salads with more of it, someone with less. Therefore, you can smear the layers to your liking.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Then carefully put the egg white grated on a fine grater on top of the laid carrots, trying to cover all the carrots. This layer is also lubricated with mayonnaise.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

The last layer is the yolk. Distribute it by asterisk. If possible, sprinkle the side walls. Decorate at your discretion. With the decoration, you can also be creative. Lay out, for example, not only the number 23, but also all the side walls with pomegranate seeds. Enjoy your meal! Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day!

Since the salad turns out to be small, there may be a lot of the whole jar of saury. But sometimes there is more liquid in the jar than fish. In this case, you need to use all the saury. You can use not only saury, but also any other canned fish. And you can also take boiled or fried, baked or salted fish, for example red. In this case, the salad will actually turn out festive.
