Cut apples and plums into quarters, remove the cores, but leave the skin. Put the fruit in a saucepan, add apple juice, sugar, butter and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover and cook for about 1 hour. Remove from heat and cool.
 Apple and plum jam should be served warm or at room temperature.
