Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 2 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make Cakes for a cake in a frying pan? In a deep bowl, sift the flour. Add a pinch of salt for a brighter taste of future cakes. Beat in one egg. I advise you to wash the egg in warm water beforehand. The heat treatment of the cakes is minimal, so you need to be safe.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Add condensed milk to the bowl. Choose high-quality, proven condensed milk. Without vegetable fats and food additives. The composition should contain only two ingredients: milk and sugar. As a result, the taste of the cakes will depend on the quality of condensed milk.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Extinguish baking soda with lemon juice. Add to the bowl. Knead a tight dough, as on dumplings. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave to rest for half an hour at room temperature.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Then roll the sausage out of the dough, cut it into six equal parts. Roll out each piece of dough with a rolling pin so thin that it literally shines through. To prevent the dough from sticking, sprinkle the work surface with flour. Cut out the circles. Preheat the frying pan, make the fire medium. Put the cake to fry for half a minute. I was frying in a non-stick frying pan.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Turn the cake to the other side and fry until browning. It took me no more than half a minute. Cakes will rise right in front of your eyes. They have risen at least three times after baking! That's why I advise you to roll out the dough as thinly as possible, literally until translucent. Carefully watch the cakes during roasting. They are prepared very quickly.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

These are the cakes I got in the end. Immediately after roasting, you need to put the cakes to cool on the grill so that there is air access from all sides, and they do not get wet.

A little tip to prevent mistakes. The dough should be rolled out on a floured surface. It seems to be elementary, but still… In the process of cooking, for example, I was distracted, and did not sprinkle enough flour on the work surface. As a result, one cake stuck to her tightly, and it was impossible to remove it without tearing it. I had to redo and lose precious time.
It is convenient to cut the blanks for cakes along the contour of the plate, which I did. For accuracy, you can cut out one smooth circle of thick paper with a diameter of eighteen centimeters, so that the cake turns out exactly the same as in my photo.
For a cake made of such cakes, any syrup-based impregnation is well suited.
Bon appetit!

The ingredients are indicated for a cake of six cakes with a diameter of eighteen centimeters.

It is important to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Then the baking will turn out to be airy and will rise well when baking.

Be prepared for the fact that flour may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
