Sea cocktail salad with shrimp

Easy win-win cocktail salad with shrimp in 15 minutes. This is my "signature" recipe for cases when guests unexpectedly came and need to feed them something - quite urgently and satisfying. In such situations, I make a side dish of potato cream puree or boil rice, and while the side dish is cooking, I quickly create such a salad that can be served on a plate, in a glass or directly in vegetables (peppers, tomatoes). Guests who see it for the first time usually have a WOW effect (Wow! :))) By the way, lemon is not just for decoration here: you can offer a guest to squeeze it directly into a salad cocktail if the guest likes sour taste in food. Don't worry, it won't be too sour, since Bulgarian pepper allows you to balance the acid with sweetness, and when a light peppery salinity of fried shrimp is added to this game of flavors, a real feast of flavors happens in your mouth.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients: wash the vegetables, peel the garlic, defrost the shrimp.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Garlic is cut finely or with plastics - like mine.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Fry garlic in a small amount of oil.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

When the garlic is fried, add the shrimp, salt and pepper. Fry them for 5 minutes.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Drain the liquid, put the finished shrimp on a plate, sprinkle with lemon juice.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Cut the tomato, leaving 1 slice for decoration.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Cut off the stems from the greenery, we will only need leaves.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

    Cut the pepper.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Mix the peppers and tomatoes, lightly salt and mix gently so that the tomato pieces do not fall apart.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

For serving in a glass: spread a mixture of tomatoes and pepper, decorate with herbs - it turns out the seabed with algae. On the "bottom" we lay out a neat pile of shrimp, decorate the cocktail with a slice of lemon. For the presented design, I also use a slice of tomato. I stick 2 toothpicks next to it. On the one hand, there are 2 ends with which you can fix the structure on the glass. And on the ends sticking out from the other side, we plant shrimp.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Another serving option is in boats made of fresh peppers. For this option, we do not cut the pepper into slices, but carefully cut it off at the edges to make boats. From 1 Bulgarian pepper of the usual size, it just turns out somewhere 3 boats. Mix tomatoes with fried shrimps and put them in boats. You can decorate the top with greenery or, for example, cocktail umbrellas.

I also like to serve this cocktail in small vodka cups - then I put some of the shrimp right on the edge of the glass - their semicircular shape is just perfect for this! In general, this is a universal salad, for which you will surely come up with your own way of serving. I hope I managed to inspire you to cook it. And having cooked it once, you will certainly want to repeat it!
