Frozen cabbage rolls

Favorite dish! Cook and make your family happy! Cabbage rolls can be made even from frozen cabbage! Usually housewives freeze white cabbage for the winter after boiling the leaves, this is the cabbage used in the recipe. If the vegetable was not boiled before freezing, this should be done before preparing the cabbage rolls.

Cooking method

1. We lower the leaves of the white cabbage into boiling water for a couple of minutes so that they thaw, then carefully remove them into a deep bowl.

2. Boil the rice until it is half cooked. Garlic is cleaned, passed through a press. Put the minced meat in a bowl, add rice and garlic gruel, salt, pepper, mix thoroughly. 

3. Peel the carrots and onions, three carrots on a medium grater, cut the onion finely. 

4. With wet hands, we form a cutlet from minced meat and tightly wrap it in a cabbage leaf. We put the blanks in a thick-walled saucepan, sprinkle each layer with onions and carrots, add a bay leaf.

5. Fill the cabbage rolls with water so that they are not completely covered, salt and pepper, simmer over low heat for 40 minutes. 

6. Put the sour cream in a bowl, put the tomato paste here, mix. Pour the resulting sauce over the cabbage rolls, continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes.

Serve on the table sprinkled with chopped herbs and optionally sprinkle with sour cream.
