Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Before doing the filling, we take out the puff pastry from the freezer. Defrost it at room temperature. To prevent the top of the dough from drying out during defrosting, it is recommended to cover it with a towel. Let's do the stuffing. Chicken fillet is thoroughly washed, dried with a paper towel. Cut the thick pieces lengthwise against the fibers.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

We wrap each piece in plastic wrap or put it in a plastic bag and beat it off. This can be done with a kitchen hammer or a rolling pin. If there are small holes, then it's okay. Then we salt the meat. If there is a desire to give the dish a more piquant taste, you can add your favorite spices.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Roll out the layer of thawed puff pastry a little. We do it carefully, without jerks. We roll it out in a single movement. Otherwise, you can break the layered structure of the dough. And in the end it will be just a flatbread.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We spread a chipped piece of chicken fillet on the rolled out layer of dough.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Spread cottage cheese on top of the fillet. We distribute it evenly over the surface of the meat. You can add some chopped greens. As an addition to the meat filling, vegetables, such as bell peppers or tomatoes, are also perfect.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Then gently roll the dough with chicken into a roll. Pinch the end of the dough so that the roll does not fall apart when baking.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

With a sharp knife, cut each roll into two parts.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of parchment paper. We spread the rolls. Do not put them close to each other. Puff pastry rises during baking, rolls will increase in size. And if they are too close, they can stick together with each other.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

To make the pastry rosy, appetizing, lubricate it with yolk. This is easy to do with a silicone brush. If it is not there, then you can lubricate it with a homemade brush made of a soft bandage. You can sprinkle sesame seeds on top. This way the rolls will look even more appetizing. We put it to bake in a preheated oven to 190 degrees for 45-50 minutes. We serve it with tea, coffee, milk and in a good mood. Enjoy your appetite and cook with pleasure
