Kervil pie

An excellent dish for a treat! Try it! The kervil pie resembles a delicate tart with a sandy base and a piquant filling. Sweet paprika and tomatoes perfectly complement the taste of the pie and at the same time serve as decoration.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h 30 min

1. Cut the butter into cubes, put it in a bowl, pour flour here, rub it with your hands into crumbs. Break an egg into a crumb, add water, pour a pinch of salt, knead the dough. We pack the finished dough in plastic wrap and send it to the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

2. We remove the dough from the refrigerator, sprinkle the work surface with flour, roll out the dough about 2-3 mm thick, put it in the form in which we will bake the pie, pierce the dough with a fork around the perimeter and send it to the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

3. After the specified time, we cover the dough with parchment and pour an even layer of cargo (for example, cereals) and only after that we send it to the oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake for 15 minutes, then remove the parchment and cargo, continue baking for another 5-8 minutes until the base dries and the dough turns golden.

4. Break the chicken eggs into a bowl, also add the yolk, whisk with a whisk, then add cream, season with salt and pepper. Pour the prepared filling on the base, cut the chervil finely, sprinkle on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes at a temperature of 170 degrees.

5. Cut paprika into strips, tomatoes into small cubes. Pour red wine vinegar and olive oil, add capers, mix everything carefully.

We spread the prepared vegetable mix on the pie, cut it and serve it on the table.

Bon appetit!
