Orange Bars

A very tasty and fragrant dessert that everyone will like! This dessert turns out to be incredibly delicious and is prepared quickly. It consists of two layers: the lower one is shortbread dough, the upper one is a delicate cream mousse with orange flavor. After cooking, the number of orange bars decreases instantly!

    We spread the cooled dough evenly into a layer in a form with high sides. Bake in preheated to 180 degrees. oven for 15-20 minutes.

    While the cake is baking, let's do the filling. For it, we will need one large orange. Remove the zest from it and squeeze out the juice.

    Beat eggs with sugar and flour until smooth.

    Add the orange juice and zest, whisk until frothy.

    Let the finished cake cool down a little (5-10 minutes).

    Then pour the filling onto the cake. Put in the oven at 170 degrees. for about 20-25 minutes.

It is advisable to use a square (rectangular) shape so that the dessert can be cut into squares. My shape is too big for so much dough, so I used a round one. If desired, oranges can be replaced with lemons, lemon bars will turn out. Then the amount of sugar in the filling should be slightly increased.
