In Lithuanian cuisine, these gingerbread cookies are fragrant Christmas cookies. Everyone bakes these cookies at home and not only. Their taste is original and will not be repeated. Cookies are prepared according to a special recipe. You will learn the culinary recipe of Lithuanian gingerbread cakes after my story. I was lucky enough to stay in Lithuania just for Catholic Christmas, and there I had to try these gingerbread cookies.
Sift flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and pepper. Next, add sugar and butter to them, having rubbed them beforehand. Add until the mixture looks like sand. Next, add the syrup and beaten eggs to such an extent that the dough becomes smooth and thick. We will form a ball from the dough and wrap it in a film. Put it in the refrigerator for 45 minutes to harden the dough. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and roll out the dough to 3 mm thick. We will cut out cookies using any molds. Put them on greased baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown. Next, take them out of the oven and let them cool on a baking sheet. Decorate them with icing sugar. We will leave it to be stored in a closed container. The food is ready!
Lithuanian gingerbread cookies are ready to eat! Bon appetit!
