Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 35 min

1. Sift the flour.
2. Beat the yolks with a fork or whisk.
3. Add sour cream to the yolks, pour in the milk.
4. Put sugar and salt in the egg-milk mixture.
5. Pour the cognac into the same place. Mix everything thoroughly.
6. In small parts, mix the flour with the rest of the ingredients, kneading a steep homogeneous dough. Dense, but soft. On the cut, the dough should not reach for the knife blade.
7. Form a ball from the finished dough, put it in a bowl, cover it and let it rest for half an hour.
8. Divide the dough in half. Leave one half covered, we will work with the second half.
9. Lubricate the work surface with vegetable oil. Roll out the dough thinly (layer thickness 1-2 mm).
10. Cut the dough into strips or lozenges and form a brushwood - shape to your taste.
11. Pour oil into a saucepan (or frying pan with high sides) with a thick bottom, heat it well.
12. Fry the brushwood until golden brown, then spread it ready on paper towels to remove excess fat.
13. Before serving tea, sprinkle the brushwood with powdered sugar.

Have a nice tea party!
