Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the specified products. Salmon is slightly salted, of course, it is better if it is homemade, if there is no such possibility, then buy high-quality fish. I will cook two versions - with white and black bread, the bread can be varied to your liking. Medium-sized cucumber, fresh dill greens for filling and for decoration. Instead of olives, you can take olives. Prepare skewers for canapes.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

For canapes, you can take white bread, black, with bran, Borodino or any other that you like to taste in combination with red fish. For canapes, you need to cut out small pieces of bread. You can use the recesses for canapes, cookies or a glass and a shot glass, or you can just cut into squares. I use a special canapé tenderloin.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Rinse cucumber and dill under running cold water, dry. Cut the cucumber into circles, not very thick. If the cucumber is thick, then from the sliced circles you need to cut out the same size circles as the bread. Finely chop the dill, leaving a few twigs for decoration. Mix butter with chopped dill greens.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Remove the salmon from the package. For canapes, fish can be cut in different ways. I will use two ways for my canapes: squares and stripes. Cut the fish into thin strips and roll it into a roll to make it look like a rose. For squares, cut the fish into thicker strips and cut them into squares.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We assemble the first version of the canape: spread a thick layer of butter with dill on black bread, lay out the squares of salmon and use a skewer to pin an olive. When serving, garnish with a sprig of dill.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

The second version of the canape: spread cream cheese on a cut piece of white bread, lay out a circle of fresh cucumber and attach a salmon rose with a skewer. You can also decorate with fresh dill greens.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Put the finished canapes on a serving dish and you can serve them to the table. If the serving is not planned immediately, then it is better to put the salmon canapes in the refrigerator.
