Cherries in syrup for winter

Enjoy your favorite summer berries at any time of the year! I don't really like canning, and if I'm preparing for winter in this way, then the stocks turn out to be quite modest. With cherries, the situation is a little different than with other products for preservation. It is great for baking, as well as for decoration. Therefore, I usually try to prepare it more.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h

We sort out the cherries and separate the tails. Damaged berries are better not to use. We wash it and put it in sterilized jars. Fill the containers with boiling water and leave for five minutes. After this time, we send the water back to the pan and wait for it to boil. The procedure is repeated. Pour water into jars for five minutes.

Take a saucepan, pour granulated sugar into it and pour water from the cans. Bring the syrup to a boil and cook for about seven minutes. When it is ready, pour the syrup into jars with cherries and twist. Cover with something warm. Many people use a blanket for these purposes. We are waiting for the cherries to cool down.

Done. Now winter will not seem so harsh.

Bon appetit!
