More than one Romanian does not sit down at the table without hominy. This is a very healthy and simple food and the culinary recipe for this dish is very simple. I often cook hominy after I had a chance to visit Romania and I want to share the recipe with you. In Romanian cuisine there are many ways to prepare this product, I present you a recipe for milk.
We take corn flour only finely ground, the flour is pre-dried in the oven. Milk is also taken in a ratio of 1:3 (for example, 3 cups of milk are taken for a glass of flour). Boil the milk, pour flour in a thin stream, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon so that lumps do not form. On low heat, cook hominy for about 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat to a minimum and boil until completely thickened, the mass in the spoon should not stick.
We spread hominy on the board and cut it with a thread or a wooden knife. They eat hominy instead of bread with any products, it goes especially well with meat, pork rinds, butter.
The finished hominy is stored for a long time and does not deteriorate, you can then eat it warmed up, or you can eat it cold, as anyone likes.
