Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 50 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make lazy cabbage rolls with minced meat and rice in a frying pan? We take the necessary products. It is better to take young cabbage, so the cooking time of cabbage rolls will be reduced. Onions and carrots are small. Steamed rice. Tomato paste can be replaced with tomato sauce, ketchup or tomatoes in their own juice (each replacement already has its own weight). Sour cream is better not to take fat (I take 15%). My minced meat is chicken, you can use any according to your taste.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

First you need to cook the rice until it is half cooked. To do this, pour steamed rice with hot water, bring to a boil and turn off the heating. Drain the liquid and leave the rice to cool. Chop the fresh cabbage very thinly, chop it across with a knife so that not very large pieces turn out, pour boiling water over the chopped cabbage.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Wash and chop the onion and carrot - chop the onion, grate the carrot on a coarse grater. In a deep bowl, mix the minced meat, chopped vegetables (carrots, onions, cabbage, drained liquid), half-cooked rice, chicken egg, salt and pepper to taste. Knead everything thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

With wet hands, pinch off the minced meat and roll rounded medium-sized cutlets like meatballs. Put them in the selected frying pan, tightly enough to each other. There is no need to add oil to the pan, since the meatballs will be stewed in sauce without pre-frying.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

In a glass, mix sour cream, tomato paste, a little salt and, if necessary, dilute with water (I added half a glass). Pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls in a frying pan so that it almost covers them. Put the pan on medium heat and simmer the cabbage rolls until cooked (the time will depend on the selected cabbage) for 30 - 40 minutes. You can turn the cabbage rolls over several times during cooking, if the sauce does not completely cover them.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Ready-made cabbage rolls are served hot, sprinkled with chopped fresh dill greens - this is an independent dish. If it seems that they require additions, then you can serve mashed potatoes to them. This is a dietary dish, perfect for baby food.
