Cooking method

Cooking time: 1h
Not so long ago, I was overcome by wild laziness. No, of course I didn't lie on the stove like Emelya, but I stopped delighting my loved ones with culinary masterpieces. My flatmates were especially upset, because they had already managed to get used to the role of the main tasters. A week passed, dissatisfied murmurs swept through the house, while I enthusiastically indulged in laziness, on the bed, in an embrace with a laptop. I think there is no need to explain how the Internet drags on. Half an hour here, half an hour there, another half an hour on the social network, then Skype all relatives…The evening flowed smoothly into the night, and a piece of meat was waiting for its hour on the kitchen table.
The last in line was my aunt from the States, their time was just approaching dinner. Word for word, I complained to her about my culinary crisis.
- And I'm cooking mitlof for my husband now.- A relative shared in response to my complaints.- And I don't need to mess around for a long time, and the most delicious food turns out!
Fortunately, my modest knowledge of English still allowed me to catch the connection between the word meet and a piece of meat in the kitchen.
- What is this cooking recipe? I asked her.
is a meat loaf, it's simple, write it down.- My savior answered.- And so, we cook the usual minced meat. Add salt, pepper and a little mayonnaise to the egg. Then vegetables, you can add everything you have: carrots, corn, sweet peppers, onions. Fry everything that is in the oil and mix with the minced meat. Now we put half of the finished mass into a baking dish. In the middle we put the boiled eggs one after another, cover with the remaining half of the minced meat and in the oven (200 gr). The top can be smeared with ketchup and sprinkled with pepper, then the finished loaf will have a beautiful crust. Cook for about an hour and a half.
- Great! I was delighted.- So it will bake by itself and I will have a lot of free time.
Hastily saying goodbye to my aunt, I went to the kitchen, cooked everything according to her recipe, timed it and went on to surf the Internet. If you only knew how surprised I was to find my lovely neighbors in the kitchen.
- Such a delicious smell.- They repeated with one voice.- We just couldn't fall asleep!
I will say one thing, the taste of this simple American dish was quite consistent with its aroma.
