Mashed potato pancakes

Pancakes are always delicious! Potato pancakes are hearty, nutritious! Probably the simplest of all that I have met, a culinary recipe from German cuisine. When the soul asks for something delicious, and the standard food: fried potatoes or mashed potatoes is already pretty tired, it's just right to cook potato pancakes. The ingredients are simple, available in every house every day, the time spent on frying is not very much. Excellent breakfast food, can be served with sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup or any sauce, even garlic. The recipe is designed for 4 people (by the way, these pancakes go best with sour cream and garlic sauce).

Cooking method

Cooking time: 20 min

Boil potatoes and puree them. We make mashed potatoes to your liking, you can add a little milk and butter to it, but there must be 2 eggs. I add only eggs and a little potato broth.

Separately chop the onion finely and fry it in vegetable oil. Mix the onion with the mashed potatoes. Add salt.

Fry potato pancakes in a preheated frying pan with oil, forming them with wet hands. Pancakes can be baked in breadcrumbs. Fry from two sides. Serve with sour cream.
