The caretaker of our student dormitory called his wife "honey woman". I don't know why he associated affectionate words with food, perhaps because there were 200 kilograms in the caretaker! And all two hundred kilograms had to be fed often and tasty. Maria Ivanovna was especially successful with honey cake, which she often treated poor students in a neighborly way. Recently I found an old institute notebook, and in it a recipe - honey cake. A pleasant find. And the pastries are excellent.
Beat the granulated sugar and eggs with a mixer, pour in the natural melted honey and continue to beat. In the dough, add sour cream and flour mixed with soda. Chop the walnut kernels with a coffee grinder, wash the raisins in warm water so that they are slightly straightened. Add everything to the dough. Mix so that the nuts and raisins evenly disperse over the mass.
For baking, use a mold with high sides, grease it with fat. Or put a special paper on the bottom.
Preheat the oven and set the pie to bake for 40 minutes at 200 degrees. Decorate the cake to your liking. You can eat it hot.
