Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a pie with apples in a slow cooker? Prepare the necessary ingredients. Be sure to sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen. Thanks to this, the future pie will turn out lush and airy.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Melt the butter in the microwave or in a water bath.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour sugar into the melted butter and beat with a mixer until smooth.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Wash the lemon well, scald with boiling water, dry with a paper towel. Grate the zest on a fine grater, but do not touch the white part, otherwise the baking will be bitter.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Add sour cream, lemon zest and a tablespoon of lemon juice to the butter mixture.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Beat in the eggs. Beat the mass with a mixer until it turns white and bubbles appear on the surface.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Mix part of the flour in advance with baking powder and cinnamon. Pour it into the dough. Mix with a spatula or mixer.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Add the rest of the flour in parts. Since the properties of flour are different, it may need to be added more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus on the consistency. The dough should look like thick sour cream.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Prepare the apples. Rinse the fruit well, dry with paper towels and cut into slices. Put the finished filling on the bottom of the bowl. If the apples you use are sour, do not add lemon, otherwise the pie may be too sour. I chose sweet red apples for the filling, with them the pie turned out to be sweeter with a light citrus sourness and aroma.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

To prevent the cake from burning, the walls and bottom of the container must be additionally lubricated with butter. Lay out half of the sliced apples.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Pour half of the dough, level the surface with a spatula.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Now put the second half of the apples in the second layer.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Fill the filling with the remaining dough and gently smooth the surface again with a silicone spatula. Send the pie bowl to the slow cooker. Turn on the “Baking" mode and leave for 40 minutes. It is important not to open the lid of the slow cooker until the baking is complete. Do not take out the finished cake immediately. Leave it in the slow cooker for another 10-15 minutes after baking. Then the cake will not settle and will remain lush. Focus on your technique - adjust the time for it!

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

Put the pie on a platter. Let it cool completely. Decorate according to your taste, for example, powder with powdered sugar or cinnamon on top, lay out apple slices. Fresh mint leaves will give this simple baking an elegant look.

  15. Step 15:

    Step 15.

Serve apple pie with tea, but it will also be delicious with warm milk.

If you like, you can add chopped walnuts to the dough. Or sprinkle them over the top of the finished cake.

Sour cream can be replaced with natural yogurt without additives.

Instead of sugar, you can use a sweetener that is not afraid of heat treatment.

Butter can be melted in the microwave or in a water bath. How to melt butter in the microwave? Cut the butter into small pieces and place it in a special container. To prevent the oil from splashing when heated, cover the oil vessel with a paper towel. The oil should be melted either at the lowest power or in defrosting mode. At first, five seconds will be enough. Next, if the butter has not melted yet, set it again for 5 seconds and start the microwave. Repeat the process several times until the desired result.
How to melt butter in a water bath? You will need two containers of different diameters. Pour water into a large one and put it on the stove. Place the smaller container on top so that it is submerged in water by about half. Put the sliced butter into it. Under the influence of boiling water, the oil will begin to melt. Stir the oil slightly to speed up the process. As soon as the pieces of oil are completely dissolved, remove the container from the stove.

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.
