Prepare the ingredients. For this snack, we will use ready-made tomato paste from the store, although if desired and there is time, it can easily be prepared at home. In addition, homemade pasta turns out to be tastier and healthier, and spices in the process of its preparation can be added taking into account their taste preferences.
Let's start with the sterilization of cans. It is better to take small cans so that after opening their contents are quickly used for food. I wash the cans with soda, put them on the grill in the oven with the neck down, the cans need to be put in the oven wet. If the lids are iron, then they are also washed and put in the oven. Turn on the oven at 150 degrees. Cans with a volume of 0.5 liters are enough to sterilize for 15 minutes. you can sterilize the jars in any other convenient way: in a water bath or in a microwave oven.
My tomatoes, let them dry, make punctures in them with a toothpick through the stalk. Onions are cleaned and cut into halves of rings.
Tomatoes are laid out tightly in jars, put onions between them.
Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil. We pour the rhinestones into tomatoes in jars, cover the jars with lids and leave for 10 minutes. Then drain the water back into the pan, add tomato paste and spices. Bring to a boil, boil for about 5 minutes. Pour the contents of the jars with boiling brine so that it covers the tomatoes, but does not rise above the shoulders of the jars. We roll up the jars with lids, or we twist them. Turn them upside down, cover them with a warm blanket or blanket on top, leave the twist to cool at room temperature overnight. When the cans are cold, we put them away for storage in the pantry.
Bon appetit!
