Cooking method

Cooking time: 30 min

1. We take the carcasses. They are sold frozen, so first of all they need to be properly thawed. First, we put the frozen product in the refrigerator for 6 hours (at a temperature of 5 degrees). After that, we transfer it to defrost at room temperature. This way it will be possible to keep the maximum of useful substances in the product.
2. We proceed to cleaning the carcasses. First you need to remove the thick pink skin. After that, you need to remove another thin transparent skin, and then remove all the insides. I advise you to use hot water – then the skin will be removed very simply, like a stocking. Please note that the skin is also present in the inner part of the squid carcass.
3. Now we proceed to cooking the product. First we boil the water. Salt it. As soon as the water boils, you need to lower one squid into it. It takes only 15 seconds to cook the product like this. Please note that if you digest the ingredient, it will become rubbery, like a boot. And to make it soft again, you will have to cook it for an additional 2 hours.
4. We take out the fillet, drain the water from it. We are waiting for them to cool down. Using a knife, we cut the carcasses into rings.
5. I advise you to pour lemon juice over the seafood. If you squeeze the juice directly from the lemon, I advise you to wash it in hot water first, so the lemon will release more juice. Or you can buy a ready-made one.
6. Add pepper to the squid. Any color from black to white will do (it goes well with red). A good idea would be to use a mixture of peppers.
7. Such rings are perfect as a snack. They can be eaten both warm and cold. It is often served with salad.
8. Enjoy your meal.

Squid is really considered an exotic product and not everyone knows how to cook it. But still it is very tasty. And if you follow the tips listed above, you can make seafood juicy and tender.

Be sure to try to cook in this way, and you will definitely like it!
