Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make dalgon coffee? Prepare everything you need to make this drink. Milk can be of any fat content, animal or vegetable origin. Its quantity is indicated approximately by the size of my glasses. Coffee is the most common freeze-dried. You will need hot water.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour hot water into a high whipping container, add sugar and coffee.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

With a mixer, beat the mixture for 1-2 minutes at minimum speed. Due to the presence of surfactants in instant coffee, the foam will turn out very thick. By the way, its density can be adjusted at your discretion: from viscous, slowly draining to completely stable, like stable peaks from whipping chicken proteins. This will depend on the time of whipping and will not affect the taste of the drink in any way.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add ice to the glasses to taste and pour the milk so that there is still 2-3 centimeters left to the edge of the glass.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Spoon the coffee mixture over the milk. That's all! A cool drink is ready, run to post photos :)

It so happened that I have never worked with freeze-dried coffee. Therefore, I sprinkled the drink with several granules on top for beauty. What a big mistake it was! The taste of these granules, to put it mildly, is not very pleasant... It is better to decorate the dalgona with ordinary chocolate chips, if there is a desire.

By the way, the name of the drink was given for its similarity to one of the types of national Korean street sweets. It seems to me that dalgon is loved more for its appearance than for its taste. The taste of the drink resembles sweet milk with notes of coffee.

Before tasting, for my taste, it would be better to mix the coffee component with the milk. Eating it separately from milk is a pleasure for an amateur.

In general, for social networks, dalgona gets a solid five from me: subscribers will be delighted!

And for life - give a good old cappuccino made of 100% Arabica :)

Have a nice tasting!

How to make ice properly? Use cold boiled or non-carbonated purified water. Do not take tap water, it will give the drink an unpleasant taste. Boil the water for about 2 minutes. Cool it down. Repeat boiling. Cool to room temperature. Pour into ice molds. Place in the freezer until completely solidified.
