Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a salad of fresh cucumbers and cheese? Very simple! First, prepare all the necessary ingredients according to the list. The ingredients can be supplemented or replaced to your liking. You can take store-bought mayonnaise or cook it yourself.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash and dry the cucumbers. Cut into small cubes. To make the salad more tender, I advise you to cut off the skin. The number of cucumbers depends on the size. If cucumbers are large, like mine, two are enough, if they are short-fruited, then you can take 3-4 pieces.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Boil hard boiled eggs, cool and peel. Divide into whites and yolks. Grate the proteins on a coarse grater. Grate the yolks on a fine grater. You can rub the yolks immediately or directly on the salad, then they will be more airy.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Grate the cheese on a medium grater. Any cheese will do. I have a regular Russian.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wash the dill and green onions, dry and chop. If desired, you can replace or supplement with other herbs, for example, coriander, parsley or use a mixture of different herbs.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

You can just mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl, but I prefer to make a salad in a cooking ring with a diameter of 14-16 cm. Put the diced cucumber in the first layer and pour mayonnaise over it. I put the mayonnaise in a pastry bag and cut off the tip. This is more convenient than using a spoon.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Spread the grated cheese with the next layer and pour mayonnaise over it. If desired, you can salt some layers, but I usually don't add salads with mayonnaise, mayonnaise is quite enough.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Next - grated proteins and mayonnaise.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

    Another layer - grated yolks.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Sprinkle the remaining chopped herbs on top.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Remove the cooking ring before serving. Decorate the salad as desired. Bon appetit!

It is better to prepare mayonnaise yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise.
Also, as a dressing, you can use not only mayonnaise, but also sour cream or natural yogurt. They can be taken separately or mixed with mayonnaise in any proportion to your taste - this will reduce the calorie content of the dish.
